1. What is a litigant in person?
A litigant in person (LiP) is someone who represents themselves in a legal case without a solicitor or barrister. Our support packages are designed to help you navigate the legal process with expert guidance, document assistance and case preparation.
2. Do you provide legal advice?
No, I do not provide legal advice. Our role is to assist you with case preparation, strategy guidance, research Legislation, Case Law and document support so you can confidently represent yourself in court. If you require legal advice, you may need to consult a solicitor.
3. How do I know which package is right for me?
If you're unsure, feel free to reach out! We can discuss your needs and recommend the best package based on your case complexity and level of support required.
4. Can I upgrade my package if I need more help?
Yes! If you start with a smaller package and realise you need more assistance, you can upgrade at any time by paying the difference.
5. What if I need urgent help?
We offer an urgent 24-hour turnaround service (where possible) for an additional £75. Please contact us as soon as possible to check availability.
6. How does ongoing support work?
The ongoing support packages provide continued assistance throughout your case. Each month, you’ll receive case reading, strategy guidance, and document support based on your chosen package.
These are great options for clients managing complex or evolving cases.
7. Do you attend court with me?
Yes, Marrissa offers court attendance services for half-day or full-day hearings. Travel and accommodation costs are charged separately. We can also provide pre-hearing coaching if you need extra preparation.
If your court supports remote attendance, you will only pay for a half or full day.
8. What happens after I purchase a package?
Once you purchase a package, we will contact you to arrange our first session and discuss the documents or support you need. From there, we will work with you to prepare your case step by step.
9. Can I book a one-off session instead of a package?
At this time, I only offer structured packages to ensure you receive comprehensive and effective support. However, my Essential Support Package (£160) is ideal for those needing minimal assistance.
